SMOKED FLANK STEAK

Why settle for the regular grilled steak when you can enjoy a flavorful smoked steak? Following this recipe, you’re on your way to getting tender, juicy Smoked Flank Steak. 

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds flank steak
  • Marinade
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1 lime (juiced)

Instructions

  1. Trim the flank steak of any large deposits of surface fat.
  2. Preheat your Z Grills pellet smoker to 225 °F.
  3. Season the steak with the dry rub and let sit for 30-60 minutes.
  4. Thinly slice the onions and peppers.
  5. Smoke the flank steak for about 90 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the steak reaches 135 °F.
  6. Remove the steak from the smoker, cover, and allow to rest.
  7. Toss the peppers and onions with peanut oil and a dash of salt and pepper and sauté them until slightly brown and tender.
  8. Slice the smoked flank steak thin against the grain and serve with the peppers and onions.
