Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Does this have an induction fan?

A: Yes, it has a convection induction fan. The auger at the bottom of the hopper pulls the hardwood pellets into the fire pot where they contact the hot rod and ignite the pellet grill. The convection heat distribution technology cooks food evenly and encircles food with delicious and flavorful smoke.

Q: is the grill Self-igniting?

A: Yes, you to open the lid and turn it to smoke first, once smoke is rising up (takes two or three minutes), close lid, set temp, start preheat.

Q: Can you use wood instead of pellets?

A: No, only pellets work their way through the auger.

Q: Does it come Assembled?

A: No, you will have to assemble the grill yourself.

Q: If I'm doing a long cook and it runs out of pellets, will it still hold temp like an electric smoker?

A: No, it burns pellets to create the heat. The hotter you want your temp, the quicker it burns your pellets. An around 18hr smoke takes a 20lb bag of pellets.

Q: The instructions say that the hot rod should turn red. Where is the hot rod?

A: It is the metal rod that runs into the central area beneath the drip pan, at the end of the auger, it is where the actual fire is started.

Q: Does it have an ash clean out?

A: You can use a shop vac to clean out the ash, as our rills do not have an easy ash cleanout.
