Grill was packaged very well for shipping. Shipping was very fast and arrived in good condition.Grill was easy to assemble about an hour and tools for assembly are included. Kept getting error code upon first fire up but was able to figure out problem and everything went well ( Had to prime the auger with pellets) . First cook was babyback ribs. I smoked the ribs at 160° for an hour then wrapped ribs in foil then at 225° until internal temp of 155°. Had a smoke ring that touched the bone of the ribs. My Traeger has never ever done that.. The direct indirect direct option is a great feature it puts a nice sear on my ribeye steak. The controller does an excelent job at maintaining tempature . Grill is easy to clean. I recomed placing Heavy duty alumium foil on bottom of grill by fire box,grease drip area and the drip pan as well for indirect cooking. For direct cooking you have to remove the foil from the drip pan not the bottom. I also put a gasket on the lid of the grill to improve the proformance even more.This grill is now my rib and steak cooker. Only one drawback of this great grill is its Cooking chamber size, large turkeys and beef round roasts wont fit but I have other grills to do the bigger meats. The grill cover is a high quality and fits perfect on the grill. It has eyelets on the bottom cover so you can secure the cover from comming off if you store it outsude . I dont recomend outside storage for any pellet grill I keep mine in the garage or shed. That is my prefrence. Again a great grill for the money if you are on a budget or dont care about having a high end name brand.
