Just finished my first cook on my new 1002D ZGrill, it was fantastic! It was around 40 F to 50 F degrees outside today and the blanket worked awesome. I rolled a little pecan and alder mixture on some ribs, raw bacon, and finished out a brisket. Cooked all at smoke for a few hours then bumped up to 225 F. It was plus or minus 5 to 7 degrees. Took 8.5 hours for my brisket to come up to 192. It was a big one, so I am really happy with that. Get the grill and the blanket! Woohoo, fat boy happy happy!
Held its temperature within a couple of degrees of its set point on a 33 degree day at my suburban Buffalo, NY home. Smoking/Grilling season expanded!
The thermal blanket worked great its 30 degrees out right now and my grill kept temperature just fine. I'm very happy with my Z Grills products.
