The difference is in the lid material.
Choosing between them is not just a matter of color preference. Our 10002E is built with a stainless steel lid and the 10002B is with a high-temperature, powder-coat steel lid. Stainless steel lids and high-temperature, powder-coat steel lids are commonly seen on pellet grills and they each have their own advantages.
The stainless steel material boasts excellent heat retention, corrosion resistance, rust resistance, and durability with no paint to fade, flake, or fail. It’s built to last and grills with a stainless steel lid excel in cold weather performance. While the heavy-duty steel lid features a powder-coat finish to resist high temperatures. It cleans easily to maintain a vibrant, new appearance.
For most grillers, grills with a high-temperature, powder-coat steel lid are sufficient to stand heavy daily use. But if you would like to have a more high-end version and expect your grill to have the best performance in temperature control, you won't go wrong with the 10002E.
Under grill storage capacity is their main difference. As you can tell from their pictures, the 1000E is built with an enclosed storage cabinet, while the 10002E is with a storage shelf. But the 10002E has a front shelf while the 1000E has not.
They also have different wheel systems. The 1000E has 4 heavy-duty caster wheels for easy rolling. And the 10002E adopts a 2-wheel system. To move it around, you’ll need to lift it on the other side with the side-lift bar. Its wheels are large, so it’s easy to move over any backyard terrain.
Yes, you can. Searing occurs in the area of meat that touches the hot grate where the temperature is between 350-500 °F. So it’s easy to achieve a perfect sear with Z Grills.
For searing meat over an open flame, Z Grills 600 series of pellet grills provide a direct flame mode that reaches a high searing temperature of up to 750 °F.
Cook all your favorite recipes on the Z Grills, because everything that can be cooked, will taste better cooked with a savory, smoky flavor. Smoke will be visible in cycles at temperatures of less than 250°F, infusing rich smoky flavor to your food. Above this temperature the fire will burn hotter and cleaner with less smoke.
Z Grills pellet grills are easy to assemble with all the tools supplied. All you need is open space and about 30-60 minutes on your hand.
